Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV also commonly known as Dr. Disrespect is an American Internet Celebrity and Twitch Streamer who mostly indulges in battle royale games like H1Z1, Apex Legends, Black Ops 4: Blackout, etc. On twitch, he is said to have accumulated more than 4 million followers, and his streamings are known to have high value among the audience. Beahm’s first video was posted on January 11, 2010, showing the game-play of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
He was mostly featured in the gaming channel Machinima and then in 2011, he took a long break off YouTube. He joined Justin.TV (Now Twitch) while working at Sledgehammer and later in 2015 he quit sledgehammer to completely focus on a full-time streaming career. He was won three major awards twice in 2017 and once in 2019 for being the best streamer and trending gamer.
On June 26, 2020, DrDisrepect was banned from Twitch. Earlier in his tenure as a streamer, he was accused of several controversies such as racism, filming private bathrooms, etc. All these were against the policies set by Twitch. But this ban was completely unexpected for there is no specific reason for the ban.
Twitch’s account’s official statement on the ban said that he violated the rules and policies set by the account and that they won’t spare such violation even if the person is super popular in the account.
On June 27, he tweeted that he was not informed of the reason for the ban. However, in an interview with PC Gamer and Washington Post, he broke the silence insisting that he still doesn’t know why he was banned from twitch and that he will be returning back in the new avatar Doc3.0.
His fans were happy that he finally broke the long silence. Let’s hope the streamer is back on track with his games.
