Catherine was born in Victoria, Australia (14 May 1969). His father served in the United States Navy and later worked as Add Executive and his mother was a teacher and property developer. She has a younger sister and an older brother. She went to Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School and East Primary School. She went to Methodist Ladies’ College. She worked in a nursing home in her late teens and early twenties. Later she went to the National Institute of Dramatic Art and passed out in 1992. She studied Bachelor of Fine Arts.
