A recent report has confirmed that HMD Global following the launch of its five-camera flagship has now unveiled a new affordable Nokia smartphone. Earlier also the company launched some of the low and mid-end devices at MWC a few months ago.

There have been reports that the all-new Nokia 2.2 will be the part of the company’s Android One family and the smartphone will be equipped with Android Pie as the operating system. The company also shared that the smartphone will be updated to Android Q once the version hits the market as the smartphone is compatible with Android Q.

Our news sources have reported that the new affordable Nokia smartphone will hit the market with a dedicated Google Assistant button. Users will be able to summon the voice AI by pressing the dedicated Google Assistant button on the smartphone. Earlier also, HMD Global has released smartphones which had buttons over them and overlooking the present situation, we can assume that the company will introduce similar buttons in its future devices.

Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, Nokia 2.2 will draw its power from a quad-core MediaTek A22 CPU chipset. The smartphone will have a 5.71-inch HD+ edge-to-edge display. Talking about other features the Nokia 2.2 will have a face unlock, and users can access Google Lens and a camera AI which will help the users take detailed photos at even low light conditions. The company has priced the device at €99 (US$112) and will mostly hit the markets in Europe, India, including others. Unfortunately, there have been no reports of the smartphone being launched in the US at the moment.
